Job Description:
- Manage and grow the sales and production of ingredients to the food & nutrition industry.
- Provides general management over finance, sales, business development, manufacturing,
engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems for
the plant. - Develop and maintain strong leadership across the site, ensuring that a well-structured and
motivated team is in place. - Lead Intensive development of market and sales: maintain current customers; identify
potential new customers and optimal ways to work with them. - Negotiate terms of relationships and contracts and close new deals.
- Develop new areas of growth.
- Drive down all aspects of Direct/Indirect costs to make a substantial improvement in
profitability. - Assure that production / logistics is executed with respect to the safety and environmental policies of the company / group and initiate appropriate action where needed.
- Set and attain elevated levels of throughput, quality and customer serviceת Work closely with Galam's Management, Development & Marketing team, and Sales managers from Galam group defining sales goals and executing business strategy.
Specific responsibilities:

Education:
University degree, BA/BS degree (MBA or MS is a plus).
Experience & Personal Attributes:
- At least 5 years of proven successful experience as an MD of a small company and/or Head of Sales Department, especially in the food ingredients markets (sweeteners, fibers, flavors, etc) in Spain, Portugal & France.
- Knowledge of the sugar industry - an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Management experience and ability to lead and motivate individuals/team.
- Effective communication skills, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- A full “Profit and Loss” experience and well-developed financial skills. Must be comfortable and competent working with and interpreting complex financial data.
- Commitment to work intensively.
